Work pants are the highest-wear garment in any uniform program — they take the kneeling, the climbing and the washing. This category is organised the way buyers actually specify trousers: by fabric weight and construction first, style second.
The fabric ladder
- TC 80/20 at 190 GSM — the volume workhorse. An 80% polyester / 20% cotton twill that balances abrasion resistance, colour fastness and price; the default for large fleet issues.
- TC 80/20 at 235 GSM — the same construction one step heavier, for maintenance, warehousing and outdoor crews who wear through 190 GSM too fast.
- Stretch twill 65/33/2 at 250 GSM — polyester/cotton with elastane for crews that bend and climb all day; the comfort option that still reads as a uniform trouser.
- Kingsmill 100% cotton at 350 GSM — a heavy traditional cotton trouser for buyers whose market still asks for all-cotton workwear.
The cargo work pants features article walks through what these weights mean in pockets, reinforcement and service life; the fabric guide compares TC against CVC and Cool Cotton constructions.
Cuts in production
Flat-front uniform trousers, multi-pocket work trousers and multicolour panelled styles (the MULTICOLOR PANTS series) are all in the current range, in matched colours for work uniform sets. For bellows pockets and tool storage, see the dedicated cargo work pants page. Warm-weather programs can substitute the work shorts cut from the same fabric family.
Buying notes
Trousers are where size-run discipline pays: our workwear sizing guide covers waist/inseam grading and how to split a program order across sizes without stranding odd sizes. Trouser minimums are confirmed per style at quotation; samples in 7 days. Combine trousers with work shirts in one program order to keep one colour standard across the set — send your size breakdown for a quote.
Construction details that decide service life
Beyond fabric, four construction points separate a program trouser from a promotional one. Pocketing is cut from shell twill rather than lining fabric, so loaded pockets do not tear out. Stress points — pocket corners, belt-loop bases, the crotch junction — are bar-tacked. Waistbands carry a firm interlining and a sewn-through button, because the waistband is what a working trouser hangs from all day. Seam allowances and stitch density are held to the program standard rather than shaved per order, which is why two trousers at the same GSM can age completely differently — and why the program cost guide treats construction as a cost factor in its own right. All four points are checkable on the 7-day sample; check them.

Questions buyers ask
Which fabric weight should we choose for work pants?
190 GSM TC 80/20 covers most indoor and light-duty fleets. Step up to 235 GSM for maintenance and outdoor work, 250 GSM stretch for high-mobility crews, and 350 GSM cotton where the market demands all-cotton.
Can trousers match our existing uniform colour?
Yes — trousers are dyed to the program colour standard and checked against the shirt fabric under the same light before cutting.
Do you offer reinforced knees or extra pockets?
Multi-pocket and panelled styles are in the current range; reinforcement and pocket layouts can be adjusted on custom orders — see the custom workwear page.
